For as long as I can remember, I have been a maker and an artist. It started with organizing the neighborhood kids into a lean, mean, backyard-show making machine. We made plays and dances and films and choreographed roller skate shows. My professional career has been as eclectic as the programming of that backyard main stage. I’ve toured the world with dance, produced plays all over the country, managed unique large-scale events, shows on beaches and trains and ships. The occasional opera. A five-year residency with Blue Man Group. I have always been a maker, though my career was focused much more on the management of the makers than being my own story teller.
I took the opportunity during the pandemic, when live events went dark, to take classes in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and film making. My hobby became my hustle, and I loved every minute I sat at the editing desk. Playing with sound, color, form, time, and finding the hook that draws you in to a story satisfied my urge to create, and kept me busy while my primary industry was down.
The samples here are some of my favorites, for a variety of reasons, Im proud of them all. I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoyed the creative process.
